CGSD Extreme is our competitive team here at Carol Grayson School of Dance. We believe each dancer has the ability to increase her/his physical, emotional, and intellectual well-being through our dance program. Our goal is to provide quality dance instruction through caring, professional instructors in a friendly, family-oriented atmosphere.
Our team competes in at least three competitions each year and national competitions during the summer. Our auditions take place the week after recital and our policies are in place from audition to audition.

When are auditions?
We hold auditions each year the week after our annual dance recital.

How old do you have to be to audition?
We have four team levels (ages are determined by the age of the child by December 31 of the current year):
Mini Team - 5 to 8 Year olds
Junior Team - 9 to 11 Year olds
Teen Team - 12 to 14 Year olds
Senior Team - 15 and up
Teams can have a variety of ages determined by the technical level of the dancer.
For example: A teen team can have a 15 year old on it as well as a 14 year old on a Senior team. This is all determined by the staff and the technical level of the dancer.
How much does it cost? Cost vary dependent on the number of routines each student participates in. There are certain cost that are paid by each team member.

Does the team have any fundraisers to help with competition cost?
Yes, we have a sponsor fundraiser during the summer each year. Sponsors can be anyone from Grandma & Grandpa to a business.
